Engine

An all-new available 3.5-liter V6 direct-injection engine and available Direct Shift 8-speed Automatic Transmission give you the power and efficiency to take your journeys farther. Not only does this new combo help to improve acceleartion but it helps to maximize MGP while at cruising speed. 

Seating for up to 8

The roomy interior of the Highlander gives you enough space to seat up to 8 people and provides more comfort along the way with reclining 3rd row seats. Available second row captain's chairs help Highlander comfortably seat seven and offer the same great versatility. And if you're looking for extra creature comforts the Limited grade offers available second row heated captain's chairs.

Part of enjoying the road is to not have to hear it. This 2018 Highlander comes equipped with sound silencing insulation materials along the floor to help keep things quiet. It also features acoustic-type glass in the windshield to help further reduce noise entering the cabin.

Toyota knows entertaining from the driver's seat is hard enough but with the available panoramic moonroof, your passengers have the whole sky to entertain them. If you're passengers perfer more varitey in their entertainment the avialable rear-seat Blue-ray Disc entertainment system is there to help! The 9-in display screen comes with RCA jacks, remote and two wireless headphones.

The 2018 Toyota Highlander's available Bird's Eye View Camera helps you to see nearby objects and get in to and out of the smallest spaces with ease. The system includes Perimeter Scan - an innovative feature that displays live, rotating 360-degree views of your surroundings when you're parked.

Another advanced tech feature available on the 2018 Highlander is Driver Easy Speak. When properly equipped there is a built in microphone up front that picks up the driver's voice and transmits it to the rear-seat passengers through the back speakers! Standard Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P)

What is Toyota Safety Sense P? Its an active safety package that combines the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to assist you. TSS-P's comprehensive features create in-the-moment safety designed to support your awareness and decision-making on the road.

• Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist - If an inadvertent lane departure is detected and there are visible lane markings, the Lane Departure Alert system will issue both an audible alert and visual warning on the MID screen. If the system determines that the driver is not taking corrective steering action, the Steering Assist function will initiate and provide gentle corrective steering when necessary to help keep the vehicle in the lane.
• Dynamic Radar Cruise Control - Dynamic Radar Cruise Control takes cruising to the next level. Using forward-sensing radar technology and an intelligent camera, the system is designed to detect the speed and distance of the vehicle traveling directly ahead of you and adjust your speed accordingly. It helps you maintain a preset following distance, slowing when the preset distance shortens, then accelerating back to your original cruising speed when the road clears.
• Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection - Scans the road ahead for potential vehicle collisions, while Pedestrian Detection scans for pedestrians who may inadvertently come into the travel path of Corolla under certain conditions. If the system detects a potential collision, an audio/visual alert and braking assistance are automatically activated. Should the driver not respond, the system may automatically apply the brakes.
• Automatic High Beams - The Automatic High Beam system allows for enhanced visibility, helping make nighttime driving safe. Using a camera to detect an oncoming vehicle's headlights, Automatic High Beams can switch between high and low beams for you.
